The seasonal shifts, changing features of the landscape and transient visitors

provide inspiration for my work especially the 'stripped back' qualities of winter.

Another ongoing theme is pattern and sequence in nature.

 

 

 

Research for the current portfolio 'Paper Scissors Ice' began with the study of

naturally formed ice taken from the landscape. The magical qualities of ice;

frozen bubbles, fractures, fissures and the interaction with light

became a key inspiration source.
