Creative processes during the rand Canyon residency took their own 'organic' path. As with work from the previous work intricate paper sculptures were prepared and embedded into thin blocks of ice for the purpose of location based photography sessions.

12 separate bodies of works were produced for the 'Canyon Rocks' portfolio. Over the month artworks evolved to include integrated sand, rocks and debris from inside the canyon. The work also moved towards a fragile and deconstructed state reflecting erosion processes within the canyon, later sculpture pieces feature holes and fractures in the ice which reveal blurred features of the canyon beyond. Individual portfolios show the inspiration source and the location of the photography shoot, many of the pieces were photographed along the south rim looking out across the canyon.
